Former YMCA Building, City Centre, Blackburn

Percliff Plant & Haulage Ltd were contracted to demolish a former YMCA building in Blackburn city Centre, to make way for hard standing. Works included dealing with all the ecological & arboricultural requirements (bat surveys, licensing etc). Handling all clearance and removal to licensed facility of all materials from inside and outside of the buildings and the onsite management of the specialist asbestos removal company. Breaking out of all the existing concrete surfaces and crushing all material on site for re-use. A successful completion date lead to a further package of works on the site where we were contracted to excavate to reduce levels and refurbish the entrance next to the site.

St Albans Club, City Centre, Blackburn

Percliff Plant & Haulage Ltd were contracted to demolish a social club in order to make way for the formation of a car park. As part of our work package the building was internally stripped and rubbish removed off site to a fully licensed waste transfer station, the building structure was then demolished, existing hard standings and foundations removed. About 90% of the materials from the building were reclaimed and the area grubbed up in preparation for the new car park.
